Get Noticed: Designing your way to a bigger bottom line
Let’s face it, photographers are having to wear more and more hats. One of the most important of which is “Designer.” The market is ever increasingly competitive and digitally savvy. Taking beautiful photographs is just the beginning of creating your business image in that marketplace. By mastering the basics elements of graphic design you can take your images, marketing pieces and albums to the next level.
Learn more about words like:
Color, Texture, Balance & Symmetry, Movement, Negative Space and Text… and how they can both enhance and detract from your imagery.
We’ll evaluate various designs and learn to identify successful and unsuccessful design strategies. Brave guild members are welcome to bring or email ahead of time to krystal@k-gallery.com their marketing pieces, print ads and albums to share and critique for hands-on feedback. This can be painful to hear so only the thick-skinned and good humored need apply.
And I’ll share my favorite resources for inspiration, color theory and design products to woo and keep your clients tickled.
Krystal has a degree in photojournalism from the University of Florida and traveled the world, from Ecuador to Kosovo as a photojournalist for the U.S. Army. Matt holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UF, and has been published in the Journal of Systems Architecture, Cluster Computing, and the International Conference on Military and Aerospace Programmable Logic Devices.
The Radlinskis have earned several awards, together and separately, at the local and state and national levels including a Fuji Masterpiece and Kodak Gallery Award in the Storybook Album category, a PPA Platinum level photographer and Top 5 album for 2007, multiple Accolades of Excellence at WPPI, and from 2005-2007, Krystal was named one of Florida’s “Top Ten Photographers.” Krystal is President and Matt is Webmaster of the Professional Photographers of North Central Florida.
